This was in fact the first British Irish Expo organised by the PPS team, yet the amount of buzz around the event was huge. The event struck a nice balance of activities: there were conferences, networking sessions such as the gala party, tours of the Birmingham Airport and more.

A wide range of topics were discussed at length: Route optimization, passenger journey optimization, energy efficiency, compliance, the future of the aviation industry, etc. Among the top preoccupations of visitors were how to handle the exponentially growing volumes of data (a topic which we addressed in a previous blog post), and the handling of rapidly growing volumes of passengers. The latter is of course closely linked to the issues of asset performance and maintenance.

All in all, it was a great event. A big thanks to the PPS team for making it happen!
