Rather than fumbling through a room of paper-based plans trying to find a blueprint, facilities engineers or other users can find documents by entering a keyword (simple search) or more specific search criteria (advanced search). Combined with an intensive approach to document indexing, users can find documents by building, project, description, document number, date, revision, author or other user defined fields. So, if a pipe breaks on the second floor of a building, a user can quicklu find the right document by simply typing in "2nd Floor Plumbing" or perhaps even "Plumbing".

Additionally, The Digital Building™ allows for logical organizing of documents, so users can group documents, for example by building, and function type (architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) or by project and task. Our newest version of The Digital Building™ software even allows for an online version of windows-like foldering. All this is designed for thorough organization and simple, quick document retrieval.

INSTANT DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION The Digital Building™ virtually eliminates printing and shipping costs by providing for instant, global distribution of blueprints and building-centric documents. Features include the ability to mass distribute documents and bid sets, as well as provide documents to singular users. In fact, the "Guest Invite" feature, allows users to send access to designated documents, without requiring the recipient to be a designated user or have access to the associated archive (F\or example, when sending a prospective lessee, floorplans of their unit only). POWERFUL MARK-UP TOOL SET
The Digital Building™ system is designed for active document use, including the ability to create "overlays", which allow for document annotations, mark-ups, or take-offs, all fully to scale, yet without damaging or changing the underlying document.
The included tool set includes tools for measuring and marking lines and polylines, providing area measurements for circular, rectangular and other polygon shapes, adding text annotations, measure angles, and even hyper-linking between documents, to other web pages, or even to live building controls (such as security cameras or sensors).
